Dr Sara Ahmed
Dr Ahmed is a GP with over 12 years of experience. She currently practices both for the NHS and private sector. In addition to General practice she works as a GP with special interest in Dermatology, both in the community and at Whipps Cross Hospital.
Dr Ahmed grew up in North London and studied at St Bartholomew’s and the Royal London Hospital School of Medicine. She obtained a First class degree with Honours in Biochemistry for her intercalated BSc degree receiving a prize for outstanding academic achievement. She graduated from medical school in 2001.
She went on to train as a GP in North East London where she worked at her practice as a GP Principal for many years. In 2014 she completed a diploma in Dermatology from Cardiff University graduating with a distinction. In addition to her work as a GP, she works as a GP with special interest in dermatology for 2 clincis a week. She has been profiled in the RCGP journal InnoVait and has published articles for them.
She is a member of the Royal College of GPs and the Primary care Dermatology Society. In addition to dermatology she has a keen interest in cardiology and diabetes. Her experience in both hospital medicine and general practice has given her an understanding of a holistic approach to medicine with a focus on and prevention and well being.
